Job Description The primary role of this individual is to identify and initiate business opportunities for Vallent solutions via Business Partners (typically SI‘s) Identifying appropriate partners for the purpose of achieving revenue through indirect sales. Accomplish New Business Development and Market Development to meet assigned quota level. Build relationships to ensure that the partner is motivated and trained and otherwise able to act as an agent for the sale of Vallent products and services. Assess the market in the applicable territory to determine the best partner(s) on an ongoing basis. Work closely with Direct sales team and Tivoli Channel management organization to support direct sales where a partner is required or is the prime. To be able to confidently present the business and operational benefits of the Vallent portfolio, and to identify and communicate the benefits to the Partner of acting as a Vallent Partner. To maintain up to date records of all relevant/key actions and milestones/meetings and contacts in connection with the Partner. To perform the above duties with minimal supervision in the mid to long term. Develops both strategic & tactical approach with Partners. Quotes prices and credit terms; works with legal/contracts to prepare sales agreements for orders obtained. Qualifications Engineer or related technology. Non-technical if outstanding related successful sales experience. Desired Experience Minimum 10 years sales related experience in the telecommunications, software, computer industries.
