受某跨国公司委托,为其寻找 Finance Director,其职位描述如下
Reporting Relationship
Report to the VP finance in Asia to oversee the accounting and financial operation on all subsidiaries of Pac Rim. Ensure that corporate accounting directives and policies are being followed. This position requires effective written and verbal communications with both the local and corporate accounting team. As a key member of the management team, this person will set as a role model for the fellow staff in the finance organization.

Role-: Accounting and Reporting
Primary Responsibilities Include:
· Manage and supervise the three regional accounting team to carry out the financial and accounting functions for Pac Rim. Countries include Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Taiwan, China, Korea, Australia and India. Supervise the hiring, training and ongoing development of all the accounting, and finance staff.
· Review the reconciliation to tie down the consulting, training and software revenue number on the shipper report to the general ledger. Identify, investigate and resolve any difference and base on the result to decide if any general adjustment has to be made at month-end, quarter-end and year-end.
· Ensure that subsidiaries set up under cost plus model has been accounted for under the cost plus agreement signed between US corporate. Continue to monitor the operating performance of the cost plus subsidiaries and alert corporate tax if there is potential tax exposure (PE issue) to the company
· Ensure that subsidiaries set up under as transfer pricing has been accounted for under the signed inter-company transfer pricing agreement with US corporate. Continue to monitor the operating result and alert corporate tax if arrangement has to be amended in view of the changing business condition.
· Continue to drive the process improvement which will either result in shortening the close cycle or resulting in cost savings opportunities.
· Review the month-end, quarter-end and year-end consolidation reporting package to be submitted to corporate accounting office. Ensure that the tight deadline on submission is observed without exception.
· Benchmark the performance of the accounting team with other software companies and suggest ways to improve the efficiency of the accounting team.
· Liaise and support the corporate accounting team on any corporate initiative.
· Update corporate accounting on any newly implemented local accounting standards which will have financial impact to the local subsidiaries.
· Assess the accounting and financial impact to the local subsidiaries on any newly released US GAAP. Quantify the financial impact to corporate accounting. Formulate step to implement such newly released GAAP to local subsidiaries.
· Carry out high profile ad-hoc projects as required.

Role-: Compliance
Primary Responsibilities Include:
· Ensure that subsidiaries are in full compliance with SOX documentation
· Review and update any new corporate accounting policies and procedures. Ensure that tight financial and internal control and compliance with Corporate Accounting policies, principles, practices and procedures and lead the team in preparation of all accounting and income tax records in compliance to both U.S. and local GAAP.
· Liaise with the Company’s independent auditor, PWC and taxation advisors on accounting, auditing, SOX testing and income tax matters. Ensure compliance on all audit and tax filings on all major subsidiaries.
· Ensure that activities related to the function comply with relevant Acts (local and US) to ensure legal and ethical compliance.

Role-: Strategic/Tactical finance projects
Primary Responsibilities Include:
· Work closely with corporate tax to understand any accounting or treasury decision impact from a tax perspective
· Work closely with corporate treasury in the monitoring and identifying of all FX risk and exposure
· Provide cash flow forecast to corporate treasury and provide support on the worldwide cash management initiatives.
· Provide timely inputs to FP&A team on any potential P&L exposure to the company. (Watch list items). Quantify the range of the exposure and follow up on the final resolution.
· Provide timely quarterly financial results to FP&A team.

Role-: People Management
Primary Responsibilities Include:
· Provide inputs to staffing decisions
· Work closely with VP HR to address any staff turnover, training and compensation issues.
· Establish employee performance goals for team member.
· Provide helpful, meaningful and timely feedback on staff performance.
· Encourage and motivates employee.
· Manage out non-performance staff
· Provide right resources at the right times to employee.

Experience and Requirement (Equally important):
· Senior financial experience (12 to 15 years professional experience and 5-7 years in senior management experience) with a U.S. MNC and a good knowledge and understanding of U.S. & some of the Pac Rim countries (Singapore, Taiwan, China, Hong Kong, Australia, India) local GAAP.
· Prior experience to manage the accounting and financial functions of company with annual revenue size of US$100M to US$150M.
· University graduated (Undergraduate Degree in accounting, business, commerce, finance and economics as a minimum, MBA preferred but not required) and a member of a well respected local or equivalent foreign accounting professional body.
· Demonstrate leadership and process excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Must be able to work with people of different cultures and interface with all levels in a matrix driven organization.
· Solid Regional experience
· Process strong hands-on experience in carry out the financial and accounting functions.
· Experience with Oracle preferred and on Microsoft Office Suite of Tools, i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint experience required.
· Experience in coaching junior staff of 10 to 15 (between 50 to 60% of the time)
· Able to lead and work on multiple projects and provide solutions to complex problems.
· Occasion travel to other Asian countries is required.
· Fluent written and spoken English and Mandarin.
· Must able to work under tight deadline at quarter-end.
