Objectives of the Position
Support and contribute to the growth of the business by responding to all technical requirements of the business including technical service, business development, project generation and managing, contributing to marketing concepts as well as allocating technical resources in line with strategy.

Main Tasks
Technical support of market strategy
Act as an active member in sales and marketing team to provide technical supports such as organizing technical seminars, workshop to introduce and promote products.
Provide technical inputs/ recommendation to strategy development and implementation based on analysis of product performance in comparison to competitive products and reports that define and rank performance requirements for technical success
Visit customers to collect and analyze field information of customer expectations/ problems on product performance/ technical service needs to verify product design suitability to application
Provide competitive product performance information to verify competitiveness of own products
Provide technical support to customers as trouble shooters and technical consultant, including handling/ follow-up complaints on technical related issues.

Lead Product application and development
Provide technical guidance / assistance to customer for product applications, including optimization, troubleshooting, and training of personnel to enhance pre- and post- sales services
Work as technical service representative as part of a technical service team at a larger account to identify future customer needs and determine their service needs, approaches and procedures to meet their satisfaction with products and services
Interface sales/marketing personnel and technical service laboratory/ product training to understand and apply production/application techniques to enhance business opportunities via product applications, meet customer expectations and solve technical problems
Provide inputs and recommendations for developing/evaluating product applications, defining marketability, modifications and termination of ineffective products with
Maintain an up-to-date working knowledge of newly developing technologies and manufacturing practices and share with the sales/marketing personnel

Support to define customer needs
Make technical sales contacts via regular sales visits/calls, research customer needs and develop application of products and services effectively
Determine the approach to apply market strategies and sales goals for each product and service by obtaining, coordinating and evaluating data and information from customers and team on product performance, customers‘ expectation, intelligence on competitors in order to meet customer expectations and optimize sales/margin/ profit growth
Sharing information related to customer expectation and product performance with team members
Research and develop list of potential customers
Evaluate product and service marketability in terms of customers‘ technical and manufacturing needs
Follow up on technical sales leads and make calls/visits on potential customers
Maintain up-to-date understanding of industry trends and technical development that effect target markets
Establish, maintain and develop industry contacts that lead to sales
Work with customers‘ operation personnel and own research personnel to establish a communication path that enhance business development

Support Product launch
Develop processes and procedures in technical aspects to ensure successful introduction of the defined products
Participate as part of a product launch team to ensure smooth introduction of the product in customer serving processes
Share with the sales and marketing team via reporting/ workshops the experience gained in technical service laboratories/ manufacturing processes in proper application/ formulation techniques
Participate in or lead plant pilot scheme to gain actual production experience of using process conditions to influence product end-use performance and share the experience with the team
Support presentation/ seminars and workshops to launch products

People management
Support the employee development in the team by participation in employee recruitment, training and development, resolve discipline and grievance. Consultation with Human Resources function as appropriate.
Provide marketing skills and expertise to enhance the performance of the sales and marketing team by coaching, subordinates, providing exposure, development opportunities so that they can carry out the necessary marketing strategies and tactics.

Support efficient and effective utilization of laboratory assets and resources
Planning of efficient test- and lab-programs.
Preparation of efficient visit programs in order to minimize specific travelling costs.
Efficient use of lab materials.
Allocation of lab resources preferably to most promising projects on the basis of business strategy and customer importance.

Requirements:
Bachelor degree to above with major in Chemistry or related fields;
Over 5 years experience in Plastics/masterbatch industry;
Good knowledge in colorants and also some plastics processing techniques;
Able to work independently on clear set of goals;
Strong interpersonal communication skills;
Team and customer orientated;
Good command of English, both oral and written.
