Job Description Overall technical responsibility for the functional area : Leading a team of engineers to deliver technical solutions to project teams within required cost, quality and time targets. Ensure all engineering solutions meet product profile requirements and work with the Vehicle Architect to balance vehicle test specifications, giving optimum solutions for the program. Essential Duties and Responsibilities, including but not limited to: Technical and management support to projects: support to the Project Management function in planning the technical aspects of vehicle programmes. Planning of project structure and engineering resource requirements for the Engineering function in conjunction with the Engineering CAD Resource Manager. Overall responsibility for ensuring that programme deliverables are met by the Engineering function. SSTS, DCS, Engineering BOM & PCR’s Etc., Delivery of high quality engineering solutions to project groups in a timely manner through the provision of suitable resource and processes. Engineering CAE Release responsibility within projects to meet programme deliverables. Support to the Project Management function to ensure programme deliverables are met. Agree CAE content for projects Determine resource requirements to support ongoing projects and identify shortfalls in resources Determine most appropriate means to meet shortfall in resource requirements Where required, identify hardware and software requirements to meet project needs Where required, implement a recruitment policy to meet the shortfall in manpower levels Determine training requirements for CAE analysis Allocate resources to projects Implement operating procedures Supervise CAE team Have direct technical input to Safety, NVH or durability analysis Attend project review meetings as required Knowledge of Automotive Industry engineering and manufacturing. Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality, integrity and ethical behavior. Education and Experience Bachelor‘s degree in relevant science. At least 10 years of experience in CAE. Experience working in culturally diverse team environment. Required Skills Proficient Project Management skills. Proficient data analysis skills.
