Objectives: For every GIS contract, the LV Design Engineer is responsible for: The Low Voltage Control design, The supervision of the manufacturing, assembling, and testing of the LVCC The LV cables design between the GIS and the LVCC The design of every interface between GIS and LVCC Job Contents: ACTIVITIES 1-Technical specifications: Study the customer technical specifications Provided by the Project Manager Identify difficulties or impossibilities, and advise The project Manager accordingly Propose solutions to solve issues 2-Design Defines, in line with customer requirements, all the LVCC schematics , layout ,component list, cables list , interfaces with GIS, and inter-cubicle 3-LVCC Manufacturing During a kickoff meeting with LVCC sub-contractor, provides him with all the necessary information, and keep him updated with every revision, Answers to sub-contractor questions Approves technical modifications Propose solutions to any problem occurring During LVCC manufacturing and/or testing Can participate to the factory acceptance tests with customer 4-LVCC assembly on GIS in factory Explains to production the specificities Follows the assembly Answers to production questions Propose solutions to any problem occurring During assembly and/or testing Update drawings as per factory tested 5-Site follow up Explains specificities to the site supervisor Answers to site supervisors questions Approves any change on site Update drawings as per site tests RESPONSIBILITIES He/She is responsible for: LV engineering studies LV drawings submission date LV drawings approval date Technical solution to meet customer satisfaction Good functionality of the LVCC Need creation in the MRP Approval given to sub-contractors, site and factory supervisors AUTHORITY/AUTONOMY Takes decision and informs concerned persons Carries out his work autonomously Organizes his time schedule Asks for necessary information In case of absence Another person from the LV engineering department can replace him for general issues.
