Position To Which Person Reports:

General Manager

Purpose Of Job:

Oversee, direct and manage the daily activities of the Engineering Department in coordination and according to the direction of the product & project management. Implement and complete the directives of the General Manager. Utilizing own initiative, assure “best in class” for the design and development of new products or method to build such, in order to satisfy customer requirements and assure manufacturability of products designed. Introduce and promote new design ideas and make sure they are developed for manufacturability to continually secure Galtronics’s leading position in the marketplace.

Major Responsibilities And Authority:

Manage Department Personnel:
1. Assign project responsibilities in line with the companies Business Unit Team strategy to ensure most effective use of human resources;
2. Organize, monitor and assure completion of project timelines and goals;
3. Promote and maintain teamwork within the entire organization;
4. Lead and promote teamwork with other Galtronics sites, world wide;
5. Assess the training needs to enhance productivity and technology knowledge of the department’s staff;
6. Identify additional human resources requirement in line with the company’s expansion plans
7. Interview and secure qualified personnel;
8. Conduct yearly performance reviews.

Support new and ongoing product development:
1. Support product/project management team to assure accurate, timely and smooth transition of new projects from other Galtronics design centers.
2. Interact with customers on new product designs and schedules;
3. Continuously upgrade product quality through improved design & manufacturing process
4. Introduce successful and competitive new design concepts;
5. Review new designs for cost effectiveness, manufacturability and competitiveness;
6. Specify new processes and manufacturing technologies for best manufacturability and improve output at reduced cost;
7. Oversee and organize utilization of test center (RF -lab, chamber, SAR etc.);
8. Maintain Engineering Dept. Document control and ISO quality system.
9. Secure on-time delivery of samples & engineering reports to customers.

Experience Required:

1. Asia Global engineering management experience from Singapore is advantage;
2. 10 years of related industry experience
3. 5 years experience in managing engineering team;

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities:

1. Comes from product design;
2. Experience with customer relationship;
3. Collaboration with the customers technical teams;
4. Familiar with wireless communication industry is of advantage;
5. Automotive parts design experiences or wireless communication device design experience is advantage
6. Language requirements:
？ Fluent in English (both oral and written)
？ Fluent in Spoken Chinese

Education:

Mechanical Engineering degree (BSc.) – minimum requirement
