-II. Job Scope
Job Purpose
To supervise QA Inspectors to provide quality QA inspection services to ensure that customers’ quality standards are met
Major Accountabilities
% of time spent

-1. Product Inspections and Follow-up

Conduct in-line and final product inspections and provide solutions to solve quality issues
Common activities include:
Inspect materials, accessories, parts, components and products for color, measurements, labels and overall quality
Provide technical advice to factories to solve production and quality problems
Prepare and review QA / fabric inspection reports
Investigate reasons for product rejections -35%

-2. Production Control

Provide QA advice to factories before and during the manufacturing process
Common activities include:
Establish quality standards with customers
Communicate customers’ requirements to factories
Provide advice on feasibility of customers’ proposed requirements and suitability for mass production
Anticipate problems / defects that may arise in the manufacturing process

-3. Sample Inspections

Check samples against product specifications to ensure that they meet customers’ quality standards
Common activities include:
Inspect samples (sub-assembly product samples, pilot-run samples or customers’ samples) including materials, accessories, parts, components etc.
Approve samples -10%

Supervise QA inspectors to ensure consistent QA inspection service quality
Common activities include:
Supervise and delegate work to subordinates
Provide solutions to subordinates for problems
Manage team operations -10%

-5. Technical Support

Provide technical support to merchandisers, factories and customers to ensure product quality
Common activities include:
Give suggestions to factories based on factory capacity and availability of machinery to ensure product quality
Answer merchandisers’ enquires on quality / materials issues -10%

Perform other duties as assigned by Management -5%
